Vagus Baby: Treatment Techniques for Pelvic Health
We know downtraining has to go beyond breathing cues and muscle relaxation, this is where the nervous system comes in.
The Vagus Nerve Masterclass breaks it down simply and practically, giving you the tools, confidence, and language to integrate hands-on and patient-led vagus nerve techniques into your pelvic health practice.
Let’s help our patients regulate faster, feel safer, and get better outcomes without relying only on “calm breathing” cues.
01
Understand the Vagus Nerve
What exactly does the vagus nerve do and how does it relate to pelvic health? Learn how to leverage its role in downtraining and regulation for better physical and emotional outcomes.
03
Communicate with Confidence
Know how to talk about nervous system regulation with your patients without getting overly clinical or vague. You’ll walk away with simple, confident language that helps patients buy in.
02
Practitioner-Led Techniques
No machines or fancy gadgets required. We’ll teach you clinician-led techniques that activate the parasympathetic nervous system—and that you can use in your next session.
04
Add to Your Toolkit
When your go-to tools stop working, this course helps you dig deeper. Refine your approach with new perspectives, techniques, and a practical framework to get your patients unstuck—and moving forward.
I'm Nicole Cozean - I've been where you are!
Like many pelvic health clinicians, I was originally taught that vagus nerve work meant teaching deep breathing or maybe recommending meditation. But that never felt like enough. And it wasn't helpful for what we could do in a session!
Over time, I realized we were missing the practical tools to actually influence the nervous system in our treatment sessions.
Once I started learning hands-on techniques to engage the vagus nerve and understood the full-body impact of the parasympathetic system, everything shifted. I saw calmer patients, deeper releases, and meaningful changes in symptoms that had been stuck for months.
This isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s essential. That’s why I created the Vagus Baby! Treatment Techniques for Pelvic Health Masterclass. You’ll walk away with real, usable tools (both clinician- and patient-led) to directly support your patients’ nervous systems without relying on apps or guesswork.
Can’t wait for you to join us and add this powerful work to your clinical practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why a "Masterclass"?"
There are a lot of topics that are incredibly important to our specialty but that don't really warrant their own full course. Instead of cramming them into another course, we wanted to make it more accessible for anyone who was struggling with that particular topic.
The information is shorter, more digestable and focused and immediately affects your clinical practice.
How is the Masterclass administered?
We originally did the masterclass live for those who were able to be online and now the recording is available for everyone! You'll get access to the Q&A following the class as well to address all your questions. You'll have lifetime access to the information in the Masterclass.
What will I learn from the Vagus Nerve Masterclass?
In this masterclass, you’ll learn how to confidently incorporate vagus nerve work into your clinical care. We’ll cover the foundational science of what the vagus nerve is, how it influences the nervous system, and why it matters in pelvic health.
You’ll get hands-on, clinician-led techniques as well as patient-led tools to support regulation outside of the clinic. We’ll go beyond breathwork to show you practical ways to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and improve patient outcomes. You’ll also learn how to talk about vagus nerve techniques with patients and integrate them naturally into your sessions—no fluff, just evidence-informed strategies you can start using right away.
Do I need a certain level of experience for the Masterclass?
No! We've had students all the way up to those with decades of experience go through the class. Some things may be review for those who have been in the field for a while, but hopefully you benefit from a new way of thinking about vagus nerve and if it even highlights one new technique to implement it will be worth it for your patients!
Is the course eligible for continuing education credits?
Yes, it's eligible for 1.5 contact hours! You'll receive a Certificate of Completion with the contact hours and are welcome to list it or submit it for credit (depending on your state requirements).
Of course, there is no obligation for you to submit it for CEUs if you choose not to.
Are all Rising Courses Online?
Yes! Courses are all online and let you go at your own pace. You can go back and re-watch the material as often as you'd like with lifetime access. There will also be recorded Q&A sessions that answer common questions.
Online courses make the material much more accessible to everyone without the additional costs of flights, hotels or time away from family.
For skills labs (where appropriate) we use both real-life volunteers and detailed pelvic models to show techniques.
Are all courses created and taught by Nicole?
Yes, all Rising courses are specifically created by Nicole to address major needs in the field. It's the material and framework she's taught to her own staff at PelvicSanity and to thousands of pelvic health practitioners (online and in person).
Are Rising courses eligible for continuing education credits?
We do not get con-ed credits pre-approved by any state for the Rising courses. You will receive a Certificate of Completion with the contact hours and are welcome to submit it for consideration yourself.
In general, with how inexpensive online con-ed credits are (at Medbridge you can get unlimited con-ed for $200 per year) we believe in getting your con-ed out of the way and being free to take the courses that will have the biggest impact for your patients and career.
Do I get a receipt and Certificate of Completion?
Yes! You'll immediately be emailed a receipt following your purchase (so check your email!).
After completing the course and filling out the Course Survey you'll receive your Certificate of Completion with the number of contact hours of the course. These generally are emailed out about two weeks after we receive your Course Survey.
I'm not sure which course to start with?
If you're not sure where to begin, start with the Pelvic Essentials. Whether you're a new grad or a 10-year veteran with a WCS, this framework will change the way you practice and make you a more confident practitioner.
You'll go through your personal Ethos, how to make the most of your evaluations, progress your patient through the 4 Phases of Treatment and communicate with them for better buy-in. While it's not a pre-requisite for other courses, we certainly think it's foundational and it's the first thing our PelvicSanity staff is trained on before working with patients.
